About Mrs. Stone...

Ahh...it feels good to be home💜 I am so excited to be back with my Falcon family! My name is Mrs. Connie Stone and I teach 8th Grade Science here at Southeast Middle School.  I do not believe things happen by chance, I believe that they happen for a specific reason.  Knowing that my journey has brought me back home to SEMS, let's me know that there is still things for me to learn as well as things for me to teach.  I am excited and look forward to a wonderful adventure together.

Just a little bit about me-  I am happily married to Mike Stone.  We are originally from Saint Albans, West Virginia and moved to North Carolina in 2005.  We live in Asheboro, NC and  absolutely love it there.  We have two children named Kasy- 31 and  DJ- 26.  We have three grandchildren: Alazae- 12, Jacob- 7, and Jaxon- 2.  We also have our baby- our family dog-Bambi.  (whom we love and spoil very much)

This is my 19th year teaching and I love it as much today as I did the first day walking into a classroom.  I know that I was born to be an educator.  I love using 21st Century Skills in my classroom and try to incorporate as much technology as possible in order to make my students ready for their future.  My class is as close to a paperless classroom as can be, paper is still needed. 😊

Some of my interests are:  reading, singing, riding the Harley, spending time with my family, traveling, and of course shopping!  We stay very busy with Heavens Warriors MM which is a motorcycle ministry based out of Asheboro that helps those in need. My husband and I also stay extremely busy leading a church in Asheboro where he is the Pastor and I am the Worship Leader.

Mike and I realize that our time on earth is limited and we try to make the very best of every minute.  My hope is that you and my students would make the best of every minute as well as cherish every day-because we truly do not know when our last day will be.
